We undertake a wide variety of work for clients who may be eligible for legal aid. Legal aid is dependent on your financial circumstances and is only available for certain areas of law.
If you think you may be eligible for public funding, we can quickly help you to assess if you are able to apply for legal aid and then make the relevant applications on your behalf.
More information on the current legal aid provisions is available from the gov.uk website here https://www.gov.uk/legal-aid/overview
At your initial appointment, your solicitor will explain in detail how our fees are calculated and provide you with an estimated cost for your legal process.
We also provide ongoing costs information to you throughout your case.
• firstly, our costs, which are the charges raised for the time spent directly on your case,
• secondly, ‘disbursements’, which are the fees we incur on your behalf. These include barristers’ fees, court fees, Land Registry searches, medical reports etc. We will always get your authority to proceed before we incur these costs on your behalf.
If you want more information on how our private client fees are calculated, please contact us and we will be happy to provide more information.
We accept payments in cash, cheque or by using the following credit and debit cards: Maestro, Solo, Mastercard, Visa Credit, UK Visa Debit, UK Visa Electron, and JCB.
Please note that a credit card fee will be added to your bill for all card transactions using Mastercard, Visa Credit, JCB and Maestro non-domestic cards. Please contact your solicitor for details of this fee.
We also accept payment via direct bank transfer. Further information is available from your solicitor.
